No More Curtains
Nova Rai · Eyes on Me, 15 of 15

The story
Four walls, the paint still wet, and no curtains left to hide behind. I burned the velvet and left no shadow wearing my name. The daylight bites at first. Then you notice every scar is only coloured light. Some rooms become yours the moment you stop hiding in them.
Lyrics
Four walls breathing, paint still wet,
Echoes hum where the laughter slept.
Curtains gone, the daylight bites,
And every scar is colored light.
I burned the velvet, fed the flame,
Left no shadow wearing my name.
Heart like thunder, skin like glass,
Tonight the past can’t trespass.
No more curtains, no disguise,
Let the city see my eyes.
Empty room becomes the stage,
I’m the storm that breaks the cage.
No more curtains, just the sound,
Turn the silence upside down.
Glass reflections, fevered air,
Dancing ghosts pretend I care.
Every move a spark, a dare,
I’m the rhythm, he’s the stare.
He steps in close, the bass sinks low,
The pulse between us starts to glow.
No need for words, just breath and skin,
The fire starts and pulls him in.
Boom—bass in my veins,
Walls shake, chains break,
Bodies blur, heartbeat reigns.
I steal his fear, return it flame,
He’s alive, I’m untamed.
No more curtains, no regret,
Just the dance we won’t forget.
Let the dawn come, let it find,
Two wild hearts, one state of mind.
No more curtains, just the beat,
Freedom naked, fierce, complete.
No more curtains…
Only light.
Only flight.
